There is a lot of unhealthy hype from people out in the online World about what Google perceives on the importance that KEYWORDS play for folks with online businesses.
Google still places a lot of emphasis on keyword placement! In fact, the percentage is from around 15 to 16% of the total Google pie. Google, Bing, and Yahoo are still very traditional search engines in the sense that they all need keywords to utilize their Web Crawling Bots.
Increasing Your Page Rank With Hyperlinks!
An external hyperlink is used to connect information from one page of your website to an external source that shows relative information. Hyperlinks are a great way to place rich keywords as you link to an external website and direct the link anywhere you want. Hyperlinks and good keywords are great for search engines as they love external links that show you are offering additional information to your readers.
Keyword research platforms such as Jaaxy, are a good way to rank higher in search engines and get a great result with your chosen keywords. When I first started online, it took me months of continues research to grasp the concept of keyword placement in Hyperlinks. 7 Ways To Get Your Website Ranked Higher!
#1) Inserting Permalinks #2) HTML Internal Links #3) Image Placement. #4) Anchor Text (Hyperlink or External Link) #5) Tags In Posts. #6) Meta Description Tags. #7) Title Description Tags. I can help you With these 7 methods, and when implemented correctly can truly help you in your quest to achieve #1 ranking with search engines.
#1: What Is A Title Keyword In Permalinks? (WordPress Websites)
Folks online ask me all the time, “what is a title keyword in permalinks and how do we insert them.” Simply put, Title Keywords go in unison with your Websites Name. For example, my page is called, To Learn Seo Keywords. Your title keyword, when chosen from an SEO keyword tool should look something like as shown below.
howtosucceedatonlinemarketing.com/how-is-a-keyword-used/ As shown in the image, the permalink is inserted just after my website title and this is how it will look on google.
Now the trick here, and with the aim of search engine BOTS, is to fit your chosen page title keyword into the underlying Heading using an H2 Header. Please remember that your chosen keyword must make perfect natural sense in your H2 Title. You can also use your chosen title tag to create an extra subheading using an H3 Sub Header. Again, place your title keywords in this short opening paragraph.
A good guide to follow regarding title keywords would be; 3 on the top section, and 2 on the bottom of your page. But be aware, keyword stuffing will attract penalties with Google and other major search engines, so keep your title keywords to under 5 % of the total page content and only put them in where they make sense.

#2: HTML Internal Links
An HTML internal link are hyperlinks on a web page that leads from one page or resource on the same domain. This is an excellent way to provide your readers with additional info, whilst utilizing keywords. Hyperlinks are best utilized when connecting information from the page you are on, to a new source on a different page within your web site containing similar content. Keywords used in links must make perfect natural sense within a sentence!
Let’s say I wanted to connect information from one page to the other on my website. Placing keywords in your internal links is a great way to make your web page SEO friendly and search bots love them. To place an internal link, just follow the instructions below.
As shown above, the link button is highlighted in yellow and when clicked will open up an URL window. Please follow the methods below for best results.
- Left click and capture the wording in BLUE you want to link.
- Click on the link button and a small rectangle window will appear
- Click on the gear symbol to open the full URL box.
Just below the external link URL, there is a list of all your pages on your website. Click on the page your internal link to go, and click; Add Link. The same URL box can be used for placing your external links. At the top, you will see an URL Box; Link Text. Copy and paste the link you want and then paste in the URL. To open your link in a new window, just click; Open link in a new tab. When everything looks ok, click add the link, and you’re ready to go.
Watch this video on inserting Href Links into your pages. These links are tops if you want to direct folks to a different page when discussing a similar topic. The Href link jumps to a precise location you want to direct the information to, within another page or post.
#3: Inserting Images On WordPress
Placing good quality keywords in images can be an awesome way for search engines to find your images on any one particular page. When you have found an image and have downloaded it to your media files, you can then select the pic to be placed on your website page. But be careful, your alt and description tags should not be keyword stuffed. A great method to portray your images is; Pretend you’re describing the image to a visually impaired Person that can’t see your images all that well.
Click on the space of your page where the image is to be placed.
- Go to the WordPress toolbar and click; Add Media.
- Once your media image box opens depicted in the above image, click on; Upload Files.
- A “Select” Image box will appear. Click to connect with your computer’s media file
- Once in your picture files, select the one you want and this will appear in the WordPress Media File.
- Your image is all set to be placed in the editing box. Click on the image to insert in the media box, as seen opposite.
Please Note: When downloading images of the net, make sure you have changed the file name from image-12345835.jpg to something more SEO friendly. Eg, window-sills.jpg. When doing this, don’t put the image jpg… Your computer will do this for you!
To rename files already downloaded into your computer, please follow the following directions on this YouTube video below.
Once this is done, you will see spaces to put your Alt Text, Description, and Caption. In the alt text, put in a brief outline of what the image is about, eg; Windowsill of a house. Place a bit more detailed info in the description tag, eg; Windowsill of a house with an old blue kettle pot plant.

#4: What Is An Anchor Text?
What is an Anchor Text on your website pages? An Anchor Text has similar characteristics to external hyperlinks and both have a line underneath them. When clicked, the anchor text allows you to redirect your readers to link to an external website on the net. Your anchor text should include keyword rich words or phrases. Try to avoid such terms as click here now and click to see contents. A good example of a good anchor text would be; Free SEO keyword tool and how to find low competition keywords.
How To Insert An Anchor Text Into Your Page
Inserting links into your page can be done by left-clicking your keyword phrase and capturing it in blue. Click on the link button and click the small “gear icon”, then right-click in the URL box opposite and press paste. I always have links on a new tab using the; Open link in a new tab box, which is located just below the URL. Once you are happy, click the insert link and you’re all done. You now have your very own external hyperlink, how cool is that!
You can also use anchor text (hyperlinks) to redirect to other websites to explain a term in greater lengths, this will add credibility to your website and is great for SEO. When using anchor text, you must link to similar topics within other pages on your site, and the same theology applies when linking to external sites!
#5: What Is A Tag?
What is a tag on your posts? Tags are placed in your blog posts to index your page and can be a fantastic way to get your pages noticed by search engines. The Tags can be placed on the side widget on your website or at the bottom of the page. Tags can help people navigating pages and show them subjects of interest. For SEO purposes, tags carry some relevance in indexing a Website Post Page.
#6: What Is The Meta Description?
The meta description is placed under your Title Tag? Meta description keywords are the index of your pages and let your readers and search engines know exactly what your page is all about. This is the information that is found in the Google Listings under the Title as seen below.
As above, the main body of writing under your Title Tag is called your description tag, and this is the main part that will get people to click. The description tag should be under 220 characters and is the introductory (first paragraph) of your Website.
#7: Title Tags
Title Tags are used for the main heading of Google and other search engine pages. The title tag should be the same wording as your permalink tag, and as you can see in the image to the left, they should be separated by a hyphen and each new word should start with a capital.
